PROS CONS
  • 2 Photographers
  • Combined, they do not equal one professional photographer
  • They refuse to communicate via e-mail so you better be prepared to carve out huge chunks of your schedule to go to their house and meet. Not to mention they were frequently late or unprepared which made things irritating.
  • Yelling at each other in the church!
  • COMPLETELY UNORGANIZED!

  • OVERALL COMMENTS
I was very very disappointed in the service and the quality of product we received from Chad and Gina. I feel that they were grossly overpaid for the $2,000 that we paid them and the $1000+ in orders from various family members. I felt pressured into signing a contract with them because they made us feel as though if we did not sign a contract with them that night that our date would be snatched by someone else, even though we booked almost 1.5 years in advance. I came aqay from our first meeting with them feeling uneasy about their business acumen and especially about the quality of their work. However, my spouse assured me that everything would be fine and that I was crazy for being concerned. We are now both in complete agreement that we made a colossal mistake in hiring Chad and Gina, one which much to our chagrin we are unable to take back. The Zabloudil's run their business from their home which in our situation became quite frustrating when we tried to resolve issues with them because their children were constantly screaming at the top of their lungs and Chad and Gina did little to stop them. We requested to meet them at another location or requested that we meet when the children were away to which Gina became quite indignant. We felt that the best way to resolve things professionally was to meet between the four of us without distraction but this was one of many things that the Zabloudil's did not see eye-eye with us on. We had to constantly point out flaws in our picture orders like distracting background objects, dust on their sensors which caused a prominent black dot in many pictures, pictures that were drastically overexposed or underexposed. The wedding industry is one in which perfection is the standard because it is not possible to recapture the magic of that day and their product was far from perfect. I consider myself to be an understanding person and when I make a mistake I am the first one to admit it and try to fix it. Possibly the most irritating part of our experience with Chad and Gina was the way in which they made it feel like it was our fault that their work was so poor. Instead of jumping in and trying to fix the problem Chad especially continued to make excuse after excuse about why the images did not turn out. If you do unfortunately book with Chad and Gina I strongly reccomend that you thoroughly inquire about who their printer is going to be and what materials they are going to use for mounting. A number of our larger portraits had an annoying orange peel effect to them in which little dimples appeared on the entire surface of a print. This made these large portraits which we intended to display throughout our domicile, undisplayable. It is my opinion after viewing our wedding pictures and some of Chad and Gina's other work that Chad and Gina are not very professionally competent. I thought that some of there equipment was outdated and even if it was not outdated they did not know how to use it very well. If you consult wedding photographers 99% of them use camera RAW mode to allow them to control white balance in the picture. Chad and Gina refuse to follow this trend claiming that because they are "so precise in their settings they do not need to correct things later." This was not the case in number of our photographs. When pressed on the issue Chad and Gina that they would have difficulty shooting in RAW because of the amount of storage space it would take for their images, which to me shows a lack of willingness to invest in the business to make the business the best it can be.

Chad & Gina are a husband and wife team. They made us feel at ease, were able to work around our hectic schedules and they were GREAT with our children.

Our wedding was mid-afternoon so the gals had to start with hair/make-up @ 7:30a.m. Gina was there to photograph our emotional "girl time" while Chad met up with the guys as they were getting ready. The pics were unbelievable and so special.

They were so organized with the order of events that our family & bridal party sat around, relaxing, for an hour BEFORE the ceremony!

We will continue to use Zabloudil Photography for family portraits, Christmas cards and (soon) senior pictures.

I would advise any brides looking to hire Zabloudil Photography to keep looking. When we came over for a "pressure free" consultation we left feeling as if we needed to make a decision that night otherwise we were going to lose our spot. The night we signed our contract with them was the first and last time we would ever have a quiet meeting with them. Anytime you go over there for a meeting that should take 15 mins ends up taking 2 hours because their children are jumping around and screaming so it is near to impossible to focus on what the meeting is actually about.

Their unprofessional behavior started with them speaking poorly about other brides who have caused them stress. Next it showed up on my WEDDING DAY when they started fighting in the church during professional pictures over when a picture should be taken. But it was after the wedding and when the pictures were printed was when it really showed up. They refuse to do anything over email (in writing) so I would get nasty emails saying that they will not work with me unless we set up a meeting. The amount of time I have taken off of work or gone over there after work is crazy just to get wedding pictures.

After getting our pictures online and then receiving our proof album I started to notice something that seemed wrong. I had a BLACK spot on my dress! I started to panic thinking how could I have gone through my wedding day without knowing that I had a black spot on my dress. Well after flipping through roughly 145 pictures ( Bride and Groom, Family, and Bridal party) I noticed they ALL had black spots on them. After speaking with them about it I learned that the reason why my Grandfather had a black dot on his face, my dress had a big black dot on it, that it was on my Grandmothers coat, etc. etc. was because they did NOT clean their sensor on their camera before shooting my wedding. They claimed that our wedding was the only wedding that that happened on but in reality i saw pictures from the wedding after ours and she also had the black spot on hers as well.

The rest of the stress from our pictures now steams from that black spot and poorly taken photos. After showing them what needed to be fixed and putting in the rest of our order we started getting pictures back that still had the black spot on them or were not edited as we had explained (to take out distractions that they did not consider when taking the photo). When I told them that they still were there instead of saying "im so sorry" and fixing it right away they went on to tell me how it was MY FAULT because I didn't mark it on the order form (about the black dot). Last I knew I was not responsible for fixing someone else's mistakes especially when I paid them in full for all of my pictures before they were even taken.

These photographers shoot in JPEG when virtually every PROFESSIONAL photographer in Lincoln shoots in RAW mode. They claim they can get away with it because they are "so precise" with their settings that they don't need to go back and adjust white balance that RAW would allow them to. They are not very knowledgeable about RAW format and are not trained in it and that is why they shoot in JPEG. Our wedding pictures shows that they are not "precise" as they claim.

If you want any kind of evidence just look on their website under testimonials and you will find a pole coming out of the grooms head as well as no positive feedback since 2007 (since they are the ones that post any feed back that goes up there). If you want outstanding pictures learn from my mistake and go with a different photographer. Shane and Sunny Photography, Ekeler Photography, Elwood Photography, or Purple Sky. All of these I can promise you will be thrilled with the outcome...I know all my friends were!

    PROS CONS
  • Awesome ideas for pictures (like the capital building)
  • Gina felt like family and even borrowed me her makeup
  • Had a wide variety of pictures to look at
  • Great price
  • Very professional
  • They bought us McDonald's during our busy wedding day!
  • Great personalities and fun to work with
  • The only thing I was dissappointed with was: our whole wedding party jumped into the pool and those pictures didn't turn out. However, it was due to it being dark and the videographers light was on us. Totally not the photographers fault.

My guests commented on the cards they brought to hand out. They had their website on them and the password so people could go check out our pictures! It was awesome!

I absolutely loved Chad and Gina (Zabloudil Photographics). They were so organized and made my day go by so smoothly and captured it beautifully. Not only do I strongly recommend using them for wedding pictures, but I would definitly use them again for other pictures in the future.
