	Rate this Vendor  Would recommend Silver Lotus Photography: No PROS CONS Very nice associate wedding photographer Good experience day of wedding They do not respond to phone calls or emails They do not send you promised items/pictures Took 6 weeks to get engagement photos promised within 1 week Still waiting 5 months after wedding for CD of wedding pictures promised over 3 months ago OVERALL COMMENTS It is very frustrating and extremely poor customer service to be promised a product and not have it delivered. It is also embarrassing when our friends and relatives purchased pictures online and never received them and cannot get an answer back from phone calls or emails to the company. If you do not mind waiting months on end for products that you paid for, then go for it...otherwise I would steer clear.

Try a year....and counting. I dont think you will feel the same after a year goes by without your album.... I am sorry for what happened to Joe's family. I guess that makes it ok to not honor the contracts you made with the people who have paid you thousands of dollars. I guess it's ok to just ignore these people. Again, Joe did a great job at our wedding and I feel awful for what happened to his family. That being said I spent thousands of dollars with no pictures or album and worst yet no response from him in 9-10 months. The pictures he provides is not worth the headache.

	Rate this Vendor  Would recommend Silver Lotus Photography: Yes PROS CONS Amazing Photography Price was good compared to others of the same skill It was fast for me Gave me the names and websites for other companies that make albums inexpensively. Available by appointment only Albums takes 3-6 months through them (they told me that upfront) OVERALL COMMENTS I am stunned to read some of the comments on here. It is like no one read the blog or the website. The owner's sister-in-law was murdered and she worked in the studio. Then he was left her two kids. For those that can say such terrible things about them without taking into consideration what they went through is just so insensitive. They were amazing at my wedding. The photographer memorized the names of everyone there. We did all the formals at the church in about 20 minutes so it was fast. My pictures are amazing and I think they were worth every penny. My engagement pictures were also great. They passed out one of my engagement pictures to everyone at the wedding as a favor. They even helped my mom clean up. I think they did a great job and anyone who can't wait a month for pictures after the wedding, considering, shouldn't be hiring a pro because quality obviously isn't what you are looking for.

	Rate this Vendor  Would recommend Silver Lotus Photography: No PROS CONS disrespectful unrealiable didn't receive products by promised time stressful to deal with OVERALL COMMENTS My wife and I got married nearly a year ago, and we still have yet to receive all the items purchased and promised to us under a deadline that expired months ago. Throughout our entire experience we have struggled to get them to return phone calls and emails. Weeks and even months have gone by before we finally catch them on the phone or get an email back!!! They also do not have set office hours which makes it impossible to stop by their business. They even failed to show up to our rehearsal as promised without even giving us a courtesy phone call to let us know that they couldn't make it! Talk about stress the night before the wedding! We finally had to contact them at 9pm that night to ensure they weren't going to pull a no call no show at our wedding! They may take quality pictures, but it doesn't really matter when you don't receive them. This company wasn't worth the stress we endured and continue to endure as we try to get what we deem to be precious mementos from our big day.

They caused a great deal of stress before and after the wedding. They promised to come to our rehearsal, and even called a few days before to confirm, but they never showed. They didn't even give call us to let us know they weren't coming so we were worried about whether they would show up for our wedding day! Not a good way to spend the night before your wedding! After our wedding, they did not meet any deadlines in posting our pictures online or getting the negatives to us, our prints, and our album. They are extremely difficult to get in contact with, and numerous phone calls and emails go unreturned for weeks. If you want a wedding photographer that will be easy to work with and respectful of your time, then don't use this company.

Poor communication. Never seem to keep a deadline they promise. OVERALL COMMENTS Our wedding was Sept 1st & we were promised our wedding album by Christmas 2007 if we got our picture selections to Joe by November, which we did. After we left Joe several messages the week before Christmas he finally called my husband back to let him know the album would not be done by Christmas. Based on our past experiences with Joe I was disappointed, again, but not at all surprised. Our experience with him over the past year includes him showing up TWO HOURS LATE THE DAY OF OUR WEDDING. It took weeks longer than we were told it would to get our picture orders & we have to leave 2, 3, 4 messages before Joe ever returns our phone calls/emails almost every time we’ve needed to reach him, if he ever calls back at all. It's now February 2008 & we haven't even seen the layout of the wedding album to approve it to got to print yet. Because we paid Joe in full back in December, I guess he no longer has any incentive to return our calls or emails? We haven't heard from him since we paid him in full. We've left many messages with no response. I resorted to driving to Joe's office on 2/5/08 & left a note with my name & number asking that Joe or ANYONE who works at Silver Lotus to please call me back with an update on when we can see our wedding album. I haven’t heard back from anyone at Silver Lotus but I have heard from several other CUSTOMERS of Joe's who also have stopped by Joe's office in desperation & hopes of finding him since he won't return their calls or emails either. Some of these people who saw my note & called me to share their frustration have weddings dating back to April & June of 2007. I tried calling Joe's office phone number again yesterday & it has been “temporarily disconnected.” Is Silver Lotus even still in business? Will we ever see our wedding album? Who knows! Find another photographer and do your research before you hire one.

	Rate this Vendor  Would recommend Silver Lotus Photography: No PROS CONS poor customer service not reliable OVERALL COMMENTS We chose Silver Lotus as our wedding photography, and we deeply regret it. It has been over half a year since our wedding date, and we have not received any of our pictures or items promised to us on our contract. My husband and I have tried numerous times to contact them but our voice mails and emails have gone unreturned. I wish I would have done more research about this company prior to hiring them. It was only after the fact that I found out that this business has an unsatisfactory rating with the BBB with 5 complaints within the last year. There is also another 13 complaints from the photography business that the owner had prior to naming it Silver Lotus. There's so much to do when planning a wedding, but I highly recommend a little background research before signing any contracts. If we did, we would have went with another vendor and probably had received our pictures months ago.

They photographed my wedding and they were simply amazing. Joe memorized the names of about 35 people in my family and we whipped through the formals in about 20 minutes. He works very quickly and I can honestly say that I have never looked so good. He is certainly not charging enough lol. I went with the retouched images on disc package and I had everything in only two months from the wedding date so it was done pretty quickly relatively speaking for what I bought. You have to check them out. His two assistants that came with him were great too, I can't leave them out.

	Rate this Vendor  Would recommend Silver Lotus Photography: No PROS CONS Our two photographers were good. The owner treated us very badly. We were not happy with the photo selection. Owner did not make any effort to ensure satisfaction. OVERALL COMMENTS We did not receive our wedding pictures in the time frame specified on the website. Only after weeks of calling and emailing did we finally see our pictures posted online. Then after another four weeks of calling and emailing with no response did we finally receive the DVDs containing our photos, which we had already paid for. We received very poor customer service and did not hear a single apology from anyone at Silver Lotus. When we finally did hear from the owner of this company, (3 months after the wedding), his emails were non-apologetic and even threatening. My suggestion for future business would be for Silver Lotus to deliver the merchandise within the specified time frame and uphold a better standard of customer relations.
