	Rate this Vendor  Would recommend Samuel Nicolaus Photo Design: No PROS CONS cheap, provided prints unreliable, unprofessional, won't answer or return calls, late to appointments, misses his own deadlines, refuses to stand by previous agreements made OVERALL COMMENTS We Samuel Nicolaus for our wedding. We chose him because our families know each other and his pricing was really good. At first he seemed super professional and nice. We paid half up front and the other half was to be paid later. We had been warned by another couple that used him that after the event, he got very flaky and gave them a run around when they tried to get their prints. We felt that because we were family friends this would not happen, but we didn't want to take chances. He went to our parents at the reception and told them that he needed the other half of the money. He did not ask us, because we knew that we weren't supposed to pay until we received our products. After he got his money he became very unprofessional. We sent up dates to check the proofs and look over everything. He showed up 35 minutes late (no call) to our first meeting. He had not edited any of the pictures or even downloaded them to a computer! I had to look at the photos on the tiny screen of the camera! He said he would call me the day before our next meeting to make sure everything was set to go. Not only did he not call, but would not return our calls. Over the next few months we continued to call, leave messages, send emails... we even had our parents try and call. He would come up with excuses when he would (finally) contact us back. He had promised that the prints we ordered would be done before Xmas (our wedding was October 3), because we told him we were ordering these prints as gifts. Not only did he not contact us between then, or respond when we contacted him, but we missed the Xmas deadline. We ended up telling him that we didn't want them anymore because we didn't need them after Xmas. He admitted that he had been professional and agreed to refund the money we gave him for those prints. The next day he called and told us he wasn't going to give us the refund (the prints weren't done then anyway so it's not like he was losing money). We finally were able to work it out. We were also supposed to see a finished draft of the memory book we ordered from him before it was sent to be printed (to catch any errors). Instead he sent it to the printers without us looking it over for errors. He was a nice guy who totally screwed us over again and again. Save your money. Save your sanity. Go with a professional, not this guy. If you use this company make sure you don't get this photographer. It's not worth the hassle.
