They did my wedding this Summer, and I was so impressed with all the detail that they gave to the Wedding from the food right down to how it was layed out and the napkin color. The food was all hot and served at the right time. The party Manager made sure that we stayed on the time table that we have given them in the weeks before. So Thank you Queen Anne's Catering for making my wedding the talk of my family for years to come. |

OVERALL COMMENTS |
My husband & I had Queen Anne's cater our wedding reception in September 06. They were the exclusive caterer at our reception site at the time, so we really had no other choice but to use them. We were very disappointed with the service that we got from Queen Anne's. They broke the contract in several ways and still have not addressed our complaints. They were fairly expensive, and WE DID NOT GET WHAT WE PAID FOR.
At the last minute before the reception, they changed the set-up that we had outlined in our contract without consulting us.
They had told us that the cold hor'devours would be replenished throughout the entire evening, but they ran out of some items early in the evening.
When it was time for the hot food, the buffet line was moving extremely slowly because they only had one person carving meat at the front of the table trying to serve all 200 guests. The hot food was supposed to be served for 1.5 hours & it took the whole 1.5 hours just for everyone to get 1 plate of food, which completely defeated the purpose of having a buffet. My husband and I were some of the last people to be served & most of the food was gone by then. They also served us the wrong kind of chicken. We had ordered plain chicken wings and they gave us spicy buffalo wings instead!
For dessert, we had ordered a dessert buffet with a mini wedding cake. The cake was supposed to be on a pedestal in the center of the table surrounded by layered tiers with a variety of desserts. What we got was a far cry from that! The cake was served first (no special displays like we were told, just placed in the middle of the table). After that, they put the other desserts on paper plates & scattered them carelessly all over the table. After the reception, the manager at the reception hall said that she had to supply them with the paper plates because they didn't even bother to bring the proper equipment to serve the desserts.
They also switched our coordinator in the middle of planning our event without notifying us, which I think in part accounted for the several mistakes and breaches of contract at our event.
We also feel that they treated our reception as inferior because their contract with the reception hall had just been discontinued. We later found out that there were issues going on between the two facilities prior to our reception, and we are pretty certain that the reason why we received such poor service is because we got caught in the middle of a battle between the two facilities & Queen Anne's took it out on us with such a blatant lack of preparation and care.
After the reception I wrote a letter to Queen Annes outlining the reasons why we were displeased with their service. With their reputation as one of the most well-known catering facilities in Madison, I assumed that they would handle it promptly & professionally. However, I got an email back from them basically blowing off all my concerns. They tried to deny that they had done anything wrong, and tried to place the blame on the DJ, the manager at Turner Hall, they even tried to blame my family and I!
After several emails back and forth, they finally agreed to reimburse us for a portion of the dessert buffet, but they have continually refused to address our other complaints. We have tried to contact them several times but they will not talk to us about it. My mother even went into their office one day to speak with them & one of the owners stuck his hand in her face & refused to speak to her at all!
These are the most unprofessional, rude, and immature "businessmen" that I have ever dealt with. This has been the worst customer service experience of my life, and I hope that no other couples ever have to go through the stress and disappointment that we have had to deal with. I just don't think that any business should be able to get away with treating their customers this way.
