OVERALL COMMENTS |
We used Ambassador as the videography service for our wedding day. When we booked them, they seemed professional and helpful, but the day of my wedding was a disaster, as well as the customer service that followed. The videographer that showed up was rude from the start. He walked in the room where I was getting ready and said, "Well, what do you want me to shoot?" As if I didn't have enough going on to have to tell him how to do his job. The worst part about the entire day was when he stood directly in front of my husband when I was walking down the aisle. The first time my husband saw me as his bride, and the videographer ruined it. You can even see the video shake when my husband had to shove the videographer to greet me at the end of the aisle. During our mass, he groaned out loud, apparently complaining that the mass was too long. We have that captured on our video as well.
To top it all off, our video didn't arrive until 6 months after our wedding when we wrote a nasty e-mail telling him what had happened. They were shocked it hadn't gotten to us (fine, sometimes things get lost in the mail). But, this is where it is completely shady-- they didn't have a tracking number for the original package, and didn't even have a copy of the video to send to us at that immediate time. He had to go back and re-edit it, leading us to believe they had never made the video in the first place.
When we told Ambassador what had happened, they basically told us that we and our guests were lying about the videographer's behavior. We went and forth for weeks, and finally all they could tell us was that we'd have to wait to see the video which was supposed to be fantastic.
The video was okay-- I'd give it a C-. No music in the background, cheap editing that I could do on my own Mac, and cheesy shots. The worst part about it is you can hear the videographer groaning during mass (and yet our guests who reported that weren't right, says Ambassador).
